Celebrate the Fall Season at Demarest Day & Fireworks on September 22

Demarest Day will be celebrated on Saturday, September 22 at the Demarest Duck Pond (38 Park Street) from 1 to 5 pm. It will feature free rides and activities for kids, including a rock climbing wall, bungee trampoline, laser tag, carnival games and prizes, bounce house, dunk tank, mechanical rides, inflatables and face painting. A live DJ will be pumping out tunes all day.

Come hungry because Mason Jar will be serving delicious hamburgers, hot dogs, crabcakes and lobster rolls. Enjoy sweet and savory treats from Kona Ice, Home Run Ice Cream Truck, Carnivale Donut Truck and Rockland Kettle Corn. Food vendors will be serving food from 1-7:30 PM.

1:30 PM - Tiger Kim's Taekwondo demonstrations (Gazebo)

2:10 PM, 3:10 PM, 4:10 PM - Demarest Public Library storytimes (behind Gazebo)

2:30 PM - Robot Sumo Wrestling Demonstration by Demarest Learning Club (behind Gazebo)

3 PM - Hot Dog Eating Contest sponsored by Mason Jar

4:30 PM - Holy Angels Dance Team (Gazebo)


Starting at approximately 7:30 pm, there will be fireworks at Wakelee Field sponsored by Bergen County Charity Classic, Maser Consulting, and Robert Wilkens Insurance. Bring your own chairs or blankets to enjoy a spectacular show.


In the event of rain, Demarest Day activities and fireworks will be held on September 29.
