Legoland, New York
My family and I visited Legoland, NY on July 9,2020. Upon arrival I got some Disneyish vibes, at least the only ones you can find in the North East. Everything was so colorful and fun. There are lots of large lego figure statues at the entrance and throughout the park. The first ride we got on was the Ninjago ride, which is an interactive game. You sit in a cart and have to use your hands to fight off the bad guys, this was extremely empty compared to what we were expecting. There were several rides such as a lego train ride, boat splash ride, Dragon roller coaster, and plenty of other kiddy rides and lego structures to see. The best features of the park are:
- The water fountain is unique as its free water throughout the park, where you can fill up to 1 water bottle at a time.
- The unlimited free refills, when you purchase a refillable mug for 17.99- this allows for unlimited soda and slushees for the day (I definitely recommend this).
- Smokey’s Brick B-Q was good, they give you large portions of food and it is cafeteria style for $35 a person. However, if you’re looking for something more budget friendly, I would have tried Brickolini’s Pizza and Pasta. You get Pizza & pasta with dessert included for a much cheaper price than Smokey’s.
- Master Building classes are available for sign up and are free of charge. It is definitely recommended if you’re looking to stay cool and your kiddos enjoy building with robotics.
- If you’re looking for minifigures, Bricktopia Bazaar is the place to go to. You get 3 minifigures for $12.99.
Over all, I would return to Legoland again, maybe next time to stay a night at the hotel when it opens in August.
