For the past 14 years, Northvale Mom and Discovery Toys Educational Consultant, Toleen Farah has been organizing an Easter Basket Drive for the seriously ill or injured children and their siblings, who are temporarily residing at Ronald McDonald Houses within the tri-state area. This is the 10th consecutive year that Toleen has partnered with the Ronald McDonald House of the Greater Hudson Valley, to bring her bountiful Easter baskets to the children residing there.

Since its opening 14 years ago, the Ronald McDonald House of Greater Hudson Valley (RMHGHV) has been supporting families with critically ill and traumatically injured children a safe, affordable home away from home. Built on the premise that nothing else should matter but the recovery or healing of a sick child, the House offers meals, laundry, and respite services for families with children hospitalized at the Maria Fareri Children's Hospital or Westchester Medical. Families may stay at the House for as little as a few days or as long as several months to a year. The House serves over 200 families per year in its 12-bedroom facility, which is at capacity everyday.
RMHGHV achieves its mission through the dedication of their amazing staff and volunteers, as well as support from the community, local businesses, and community partners like Toleen. Year after year, Toleen’s Easter Basket Drive continues to put heartwarming smiles on faces of RMHGHV families when they see the baskets outside their doors on Easter morning. The baskets she prepares are filled with age-appropriate learning toys and games, dental hygiene supplies and a few small snacks, in an effort to bring some joy to these children and their families, during a very difficult time in their lives.

If you would like to participate in Toleen's Easter Basket Drive for the Ronald McDonald House of the Greater Hudson Valley, here's how:
A $35 donation will sponsor one basket, but you are welcome to sponsor as many baskets as you’d like!
For donations of $100 or more, your name/business logo will be advertised for a year on the header of the RMH Easter Baskets for Children at the Ronald McDonald House Facebook Page.
100% of donations - including Toleen's commission - are spent on filling Easter Baskets with Discovery Toys for the children to keep, as well as filling the House's Family Room with new toys for residents to enjoy throughout the year. Furthermore, she supplies additional educational toys and games to restock their "Gift Closet" with a variety of fun options for all ages, which the House can distribute to residents as they see fit: a welcome present, a birthday gift or another special occasion, congratulatory, or departure gift.
